Target states in their coupon policy that they will accept any coupon that says “manufacturer coupon,” even if it states that it is redeemable at another store. For example, some Target shoppers have had issues previously with coupons that say “Redeemable at Walmart.” Many of the printable coupons from coupons.com have a store suggestion on them. This will no longer be a problem with their coupon policy!
Another hurdle that coupon shoppers face at Target is a lack of understanding about the fine print on coupons. “One coupon per purchase” and “one coupon per transaction” are very confusing to many cashiers. Target clarifies the definition to both, making them easier to understand. One coupon per purchase means you’re using one coupon per item being purchased. You can use multiples of the same coupon as long as each coupon has a matching item. One coupon per transaction means you can use only one specific coupon per store transaction. You can’t use more than one of the same coupon, even if you’re buying multiple items.
Target accepts the following coupon types:
Manufacturer coupons from the newspaper
Printable manufacturer coupons
Manufacturer coupons from the newspaper and manufacturer coupons printed at home cannot be stacked on the purchase of one item.
